VBS Volunteer Meeting - 5/19

If you are volunteering or if you are interested in volunteering, please make sure to attend our VBS volunteer meeting. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall right after our worship service. We will go over what the week events will look like. If you have questions, please see Daylon Piper or Matt Noble.

Starting Point - 5/19-7/7

If you are interested in learning more about UPBC or begin the process of joining our church body, then Starting Point is for you! Starting Point is a 6-week class that meets during the Sunday school hour. If you are interested in joining the class, please email Kristina at kristina.magallan@upbchouston.org

Special Missions Offering - May

We have the great privilege to send and support a family from UPBC as they transition overseas to live in an unreached part of the world. We will be taking up an offering through the month of May to help with their significant transitioning costs. Please pray about your gift to help meet this important need. In order to give through the offering box or online please mark your offering as “Mission Ventures - Special May Offering.” We will also take up an offering on Sunday, May 19th in our morning service. If you have any questions, please email the elders at elders@upbchouston.org. 

Prayer & Potluck - 5/26

Mark your calendar for our prayer and potluck on 5/26 at 5 PM. Join us for a time of devotion, singing, and prayer all followed by a potluck dinner.

Kids Choir - 5/26

Kids Choir will meet on Sunday, May 26th at 5 PM during our Prayer & Potluck meeting time. All children age preschool through the 6th grade are encouraged to join.

A-Men Breakfast - 6/8

Join the men on Saturday, 6/8 @ 8 AM in the Fellowship Hall for Authentic Men fellowship. Bring something to share to eat/drink. Coffee will be provided. For more details, see Lee Dunn.

Women’s Book Club - 6/25 & 7/23

Ladies, you're invited to discuss Good & Angry: Redeeming Anger, Irritation, Complaining, & Bitterness by David Powlison. This wonderful book that will help us reframe our understanding of anger. It's a practical book that offers an in-depth biblical exploration of God's anger and ours. 

VBS - 6/17-6/20

VBS is right around the corner! If you are interested in serving in any capacity, please sign up here (Youth helpers 7th Grade and up). Whether you’re able to join us all 4 days, or for a limited amount of time, we encourage anyone who is available to help. We will follow up soon with more information.

Some areas of need: Bible Study teacher, Arts and Craft, Music, Registration, Decoration, Promotion, Hospitality, Prayer Team, Nursery Childcare and Security.
